Makes a fake concern post... with fake concern...


I have always liked Chogyam Trungpa's distinction between genuine compassion and "idiot compassion." Idiot compassion always wants to be nice and avoid trouble. It wants to let people have whatever they want, so as to appear generous and kind, regardless of whether or not it is bad for them or bad for others. In other words, liberalism.
