An excellent point more eloquently put than I ever did :-)

In the end, we can find what we are looking for unless we don't want to or are not yet ready. It's a lot like finding an elephant in a room - after you exhaust everywhere the elephant is not you begin to wonder if this big quiet grey thing might well in fact be the elephant you were looking for.

Once you've found the elephant things tend to unfold more naturally.

So the first trap is not finding the elephant. The second trap is thinking it's a cat and trying to make it sit on your lap and purrrr. :-)
