The reason I read your blog is because you say it like it is. I joined a Buddhist sangha a few years ago and found that our "guru", a Tibetan monk, ended up having to deal most of the time with sangha members' mental problems. People were seriously screwed up. There was no time for true spiritual teaching. I quit after a year. Most of these people need to see a psychiatrist and they had no spiritual longing. Today i read the Sutras that you recommend, plus a few other books you suggest, and I'm trying to find a spiritual teacher. Unfortunately I travel a lot. But I follow your suggestions and I have to say, slowly, I believe I am moving towards awakening. Very slowly though.
