But, then, it would only be heresy in relation to your particular doctrine, would it not? The Buddhist doctrine of "No Self" is heresy to Hindus, and the Hindu doctrine of "True Self" is heresy to Buddhists. But who would claim that the ultimate reality is thereby changed? And since each doctrine is therefore true only in a relative sense, should we claim that both are heresy? Or neither? Or something else?
