Once I saw a little kid about 1 or 2 year old at a funeral. Even though the funeral was not of his family or relative, he cried endlessly for hours (his mother could not stop him). Luckily, a monk happened to travel by the location when he saw what happened.

The monk touched the kid's head and read some sermons, then suddenly the kid smiled again!.

Reading this article, one might see the influential mind of the hungry ghost (the one person that died) had on the people around him (and the kid).

Moral of the story is don't go to funeral of common people as most will become hell being and/or hungry ghost after death, LOL
