My two bits, since I've talked to the Zennist about this in the past. Once "you" sense this field-mind, it not only produces a sense of bilocation, it slowly becomes possible to shift points of view and to understand that the psychophysical body is simply a transitory locus and that "you" are an illusion compared to the one mind, which is the true nature of all things. When this happens spontaneously, it can be quite disconcerting to the ego self, but when it happens subtly, one can learn how to maintain a slight sense of it as a kind of "buzz" (that magnetic feeling), and that can be induced in a number of ways, including the breathing exercise in which one goes to that which is anterior to the breath. Kundalini yoga and Qigong have a different vocabulary for this sensation, but it is the same thing. (Because this state is not spatially or temporally bound, it can also occur during apparently mundane activities like reading this blog, for example. It has a "radonic" feature to it in that it can be communicated via sound, symbol, or even just thought once it is experienced.)

trekai: The Light of the Mahayana is an empowerment/prediction by the Buddhas which, incidentally, is quite astonishing (there is contact with a non-physical being). The other is entering or merging with the absolute itself (it took me many, many years to get to this point).

what would you say is the relationship between this magnetic field and the light of Mahayana? could you describe it? are they the same?
